My birthday has passed, and I didn't blow out a birthday candle, nor did I see the gifts, and I won't open them.

My mother departed as a martyr twenty days ago.
Just before her passing, she repeatedly entrusted me with the care of "Ahd" my younger sister, who is thirteen years old.
Yesterday, as we shared a warm meal after a long hunger, I told Ahd:
-"Eat well, for we do not know when our next meal will be."
After embracing me, she said:
"I feel that it (the next meal) will be in paradise with Mama and my brother Yassin.
If I pass away, do not cry for me; just tell people that I was here, dreaming of life, and aspiring to be a doctor one day."
-Forgive me, Ahd.. How can I not cry for the departure of my sole sister, my beloved?!
